About Me
Barry Niblock
Meridian Care, Belturbet, Co. Cavan
For over 25 years, I’ve been helping people overcome pain, injury, and movement issues that affect their work, sport, and everyday life. After many years practising in Dublin, I established Meridian Care in Belturbet, where I now treat patients from across Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, and Fermanagh.
Much of my work comes through word‑of‑mouth recommendations and positive patient reviews. I’m grateful to have earned over 70 five‑star Google reviews from people who have trusted me with their care.
People come to me because they want a straightforward assessment, a clear explanation of what’s causing the problem, and hands‑on treatment focused on improving movement and reducing pain.
The aim is simple: reduce pain, restore movement, and help you get back to normal activity as quickly as possible.
My Background
I am a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist with over 25 years of clinical experience treating musculoskeletal pain, injury, and movement dysfunction.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with a wide range of conditions, from sports injuries and muscle strains to persistent back and neck pain. My training and experience have centred on understanding how the body moves, why pain develops, and what practical steps can be taken to resolve it.
My work is grounded in clear reasoning, mechanical assessment, and treatment that aims to restore normal function as efficiently as possible.

My Treatment Approach
My Treatment Approach
Treatment at Meridian Care is focused, practical, and based on your assessment findings. I use a range of hands‑on techniques — including deep tissue, remedial, and sports massage — along with other methods where appropriate. These techniques are applied as part of a tailored plan, not as a menu of services.
My approach is built on three principles:
- Clarity — No jargon, no guesswork. You’ll always know what I’m seeing and why it matters.
- Cause‑based treatment — I focus on the structures driving the problem, not just the symptoms.
- Practical solutions — Treatment and advice that make sense in real life, not generic routines.
What to Expect
Every appointment follows three simple steps:
- Assessment: We look at how you move, identify restrictions, and determine what’s contributing to the problem.
- Treatment: Using hands‑on soft‑tissue techniques, I work on the muscles and structures involved to reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore normal function.
- A Practical Plan: You’ll leave with a clear understanding of the issue, the treatment provided, and any advice that may support your recovery — with the goal of reducing pain, improving mobility, and helping you return to normal daily activity as quickly as possible.
Trusted by my Patients
Patients consistently tell me they value the direct, uncomplicated approach I take to treatment. My aim isn’t temporary relief — it’s to identify and address the factors contributing to the problem so you can move more comfortably and with fewer setbacks.
My practice is built primarily through recommendations from existing patients and over 70 five‑star Google reviews. I value that trust greatly and work hard to ensure every patient receives honest advice, effective treatment, and clear guidance throughout their recovery.
